Our Data
All statistics are derived from the NHL's publicly available API, including play-by-play data, shift reports, and game schedules. We process this raw data into the advanced metrics you see on the site. Injury data is sourced from ESPN's public injury reports.
What Makes Us Different
LivingHockey is completely free with no paywall. We cover every NHL season from 2021-22 onward with per-game, per-player, and per-team breakdowns across multiple strength states. Our goal is to make advanced hockey analytics accessible to everyone — from casual fans to serious analysts.
Technology
LivingHockey is built with Next.js and hosted on Vercel. Our data pipeline ingests and processes every NHL game, computing advanced stats in real time. The site is designed to be fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate.
